Markedly, this is a companion to Ashley Elston’s beloved 10 Blind Dates. And it follows Sophie’s high-achieving cousin Olivia as she juggles last-minute P.E. credit, end-of-year parties. Also, there is a secret new romance in the chaotic week before graduation.
It’s Senior Party Week that magical in-between time after classes have ended but before graduation, chock-full of gimmicky theme parties, last-minute bonding, and family traditions. AS a matter of fact, Olivia couldn’t be more ready. In addition, Class salutatorian and confident in her future at LSU, she’s poised to sail through to the next phase of her life.
But when the tiny hiccup of an unsigned off-campus P.E. form puts Olivia in danger of not graduating at all, she has one week to set things straight without tipping off her huge and very nosy extended family. Then again, volunteering to help at a local golf tournament should do it. But since Olivia’s mom equipped her phone with a tracking app, there’ll be no hiding the fact that she’s at the golf course instead of all the graduation parties happening at the same time. Unless that is, she can convince the Fab Four–her ride-or-die cousins and best friends Sophie, Charlie, and Wes–to trade phones with her as they go through the motions of playing Olivia for the week.

10 Truths and a Dare Review:
“10 Truths and a Dare” is a cute young adult, contemporary romance that will make you laugh and feel warm.
To begin with, I enjoyed the plot and thought it was unique. The thought of not graduating at the last moment is enough to give anyone anxiety and stress. The author has a beautiful style of writing humor, and I found myself chuckling at the absurd moments that Olivia and her team find themselves in. I loved Charlie in the role and laughed at the scenes where he needs to ride the mechanical bull. Even Sophie and Wes are great as they all toggle using Olivia’s phone to make sure no one finds out what she is doing. Similarly, the author also adds romance well. I enjoyed Leo and Olivia’s sweet romance and felt the author handled it very nicely.
However, Olivia frustrated me at times. It was hard for me to picture how efficient she was in her studies and school when she could not correctly manage to work on the golf course. Honestly, at times, I felt more sympathetic towards Coach Cantu as he gave Olivia another chance and always lost her focus on something else. Moreover, I thought Olivia’s mom was also too overprotective, and it was creepy how they tracked her every move.
Apart from that, I did enjoy the story. Overall, “10 Truths and a Dare” is a sweet book, and I recommend it if you are in the mood for a humorous YA contemporary romance. I would love to read the other’s other book, “10 Blind Dates,” to read their previous storylines.
