Tunnel of Bones Synopsis:

Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.

She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.

I was highly anticipating this book because I liked reading “City of Ghosts” when it came out last year. But, I was disappointed after reading it and I felt the previous book was better. My main problem was the villain. I loved the Raven in Red in the first book because she was calculating, creepy and had evil intentions. Even though the poltergeist in this book is powerful, it did not possess any other qualities to make it a good villain. Moreover, it was strange how Cassidy got hurt in some scenes, but was perfectly fine in the following scenes.

However, I loved how the author gives a tour of Paris with a spooky story to go behind it, whether it is fact or fiction. The story is fast paced and held my interest, even if some scenes were unnecessary. I also liked Adele and hope that she makes an appearance in the future novels in this series. Overall, ‘Tunnel of Bones’ was fun to read but not as good as ‘City of Ghosts’
