Archibald Lox and the Forgotten Crypt Review:

I loved reading the first three books of the Archibald series last year and was excited to read the next three in the set.

In ” Archibald Lox and the Forgotten Crypt,” we see Archibald reunite with his old friends Cal, Princess Ghita and Cindy, as they go back to the Sapphire and finds themselves in another quest.

There is a dull moment in the story as the author takes us back to the Merged. The author also adds many exciting moments, like when Orlan and Argate chase Archie or when Hugo and Inez uncover shocking secrets. The story ultimately leads to a gripping Tournament that Archie experiences, making the story exciting to read.

What’s nice about the series, in general, is how you learn something new about the world in each book. Archie is terrific in the role and continues to shine in the series. Even though he is a master locksmith, he doesn’t act smug about it. Moreover, the author also introduces us to a new character, Kojo, who I found fascinating. The story also ends in a cliffhanger that makes you want to read the next book immediately.

Apart from the adventure, I also liked the personal moments between the characters. For instance, I enjoyed Archie’s rapport with Winston and how Winston opens up to him about Stefan. Even the supporting characters like Baba Jen were friendly as he imparts advice to Archie. Similarly, even the scenes where Archie bonds with Cindy are adorable.

Overall, ” Archibald Lox and the Forgotten Crypt ” is a beautiful start to the second set in the series and is off to a promising start.
