CHERYL HOLT delivers the third and final novel in her fun and dazzling CADS trilogy…
Captain Sheridan Stone sails the Atlantic as a privateer who harasses enemies of the British Crown. He’s not a pirate, but he’s close enough. He lives a life of adventure, danger, and violence, but wounds himself in a battle. It’s left him weary, and he’s thinking of retiring and returning to England. He might even be ready to marry and settle down, but his bride would have to be the perfect girl from the perfect family.
Miss Sophia Cantwell is a poor relative with no dowry or prospects. Her father was a dreamer and schemer, and she has inherited his wanderlust and grandiose ideas. She wishes to be a man by birth so she could shuck off society’s restrictions and have the exciting future she’s always envisioned for herself.
When Sheridan meets Sophia, there’s an instant attraction, but he’s an earl’s son, and he convinces himself that he will wed very high. Sophia has nothing he wants, so she could never be the bride he imagined. But she just might be the woman who could make him happy forever.
About the Author:
Cheryl Holt is a New York Times, USA Today, and Amazon “Top 100” bestselling author who has published over fifty novels.
She’s also a lawyer and mom, and at age forty, with two babies at home, she started a new career as a commercial fiction writer. She’d hoped to be a suspense novelist, but couldn’t sell any of her manuscripts, so she ended up taking a detour into romance where she was stunned to discover that she has a knack for writing some of the world’s greatest love stories.
Her books had a wide acclaim, and she has won or had nomination for many national awards. She is one of the masters of the romance genre. For many years, press acclaimed her as “The Queen of Erotic Romance”, and also as “The International Queen of Villains.” She is particularly proud to have been named “Best Storyteller of the Year” by the trade magazine Romantic Times BOOK Reviews.
She lives and writes in Hollywood, California, and she loves to hear from fans.

Cad’s Choice Review:
“Cad’s Choice” is the last book in the Cads trilogy and my favorite one from the set.
Now, this is a satisfying addition to the trilogy! If you read my review of the previous book, you would know that I was a tad disappointed at how it sounded similar to the first one. However, the author pushed all the right buttons, and “Cad’s Choice” was a lovely addition to the series.
I adored Sheridan and found him to be unique and probably the best character in the series. He is a cad but is a flawed one, and you see many layers of him. The author writes his romance with Sophia beautifully, and I found both of them to be exquisite.
Moreover, I enjoyed the author’s angle and twists when we get Aurora Newton and her mother, Millicent. Aurora spices up the story when she comes to Sheridan’s life, and he has to contemplate marrying her. Even Millicent adds to be quite the negative character in the story, which I found missing in the previous novels.
Not only that, but the author also focuses more on Neville, the father we seldom saw in the previous novels. I enjoyed getting to know him more in this tale and was surprised by how crass his character appeared in a few scenes. On a side note, I also liked how we saw characters from the previous novels, like Hunter, be more prominent in the tale.
Overall, “Cad’s Choice” became my favorite book in the series and made me appreciate the trilogy even more.
