He smiled. “Kidnapping? Naw… you don’t have to worry about that. Oy’m not here to kidnap you. Oy’m here to kill you.”

Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind. You wake up one morning, and all of a sudden an internationally feared assassin wants you dead? I hate it when that happens. And what do you do when the forecast for your friendly neighborhood TV weatherman looks like murder?

KRGX meteorologist Greg O’Brien is having one of those days. He just hopes it’s not his last.

Being a weatherman has its own set of challenges… it’s tough enough trying to predict the future weatherwise. But even Greg O’Brien could never forecast the twists and turns his life would take after stumbling into that office.

SNOW STORM Review:

I listened to the audiobook version by the author, and let me say that he has an impeccable talent for narrating stories. Having read some of his narration from other audiobooks, I was excited to read his book and found the story exciting.

Our protagonist, Greg O’Brien, becomes a target after accidentally running into someone he shouldn’t have. I was glued to the pages as Greg tried to discover what was happening and how he wanted to escape it. The supporting cast, like Bryce and Lauren, also bring their own to the tale. Some of my favorite moments in the story are incident with the boat or Greg’s skiing adventure later in the story.

What’s nice about the book is how the author adds a touch of humor to an otherwise thrilling, fast-paced novel. The author adds a lot of ‘edge of your seat’ moments where you want to turn the page and find out what happens. Even though some of the scenes are pure adrenaline, reading Greg’s thoughts on his situation also made me chuckle.

My only slight criticism is that the author over-described a few incidents to make the story fun. For instance, how the birth of a tree grew into a position that impacted him on an incident felt a bit too much, even though I knew why the author wrote it that way.

Overall, “Snow Storm” is a beautiful debut novel by the author, and I hope he continues to write many more books!
