The long-awaited sequel to bestseller and book club favorite IT ALL COMES BACK TO YOU has arrived!
Violet Glenn.
Everybody loved her.
In 1946, that included her boyfriend’s best friend, Sam Davidson.

Ronni Johnson wrote a book about Violet. It changed her life. Now she’s back working as a registered nurse at Fairfield Springs, loving her patients and her job. She doesn’t have another book in her.

A mysterious email arrives from Chet Wilson’s son, asking Ronni to tell “the truth” about his dad.

She ignores it.
Sam Davidson’s family becomes inextricably linked with Ronni, though, and through them she learns a story that must be told.
Ronni finds herself back at the keyboard, determined to share the long-held secrets revealed to her.

And once again, Violet is reaching back through the years to touch Ronni’s life.

DARK ENOUGH TO SEE THE STARS is a story of human resilience and fragility; of joy and sorrow; of our ability to find family in one another. Alternating chapters between Sam’s world in the distant past and Ronni’s in the present, readers will witness lives woven together, hearts bound forever in surprising ways.

Dark Enough To See The Stars Review:

“Dark Enough to See the Stars” is a beautiful sequel to “It All Comes Back to You,” and I enjoyed how the author focused on the other characters.

Firstly, I admire the author for making the story relevant. Many of us were affected by the covid pandemic, and it was interesting to see how the author added the pandemic to the storyline that affects one of the core characters. Ronnie is excellent in the lead as she decides to write another book and experiences situations that change her life. I loved her relationship with Deanna and Max and thought the author wrote their emotions heartwarmingly.

Secondly, I adored how they restored the perception of some of the core characters. What bothered me in the previous book was how the author changed the tone of some of my favorite characters and portrayed them negatively toward the end. I appreciate the author for redeeming some of them in this book. Yet, still, I wouldn’t say I liked Sam’s treatment of Violet and even Deborah. The guy is unsure of what he wants; he conveniently changes his mind per the situation.

A surprising couple that caught my attention was Philip and Esther. When the author started focusing on Sam’s parents, I did not initially see what value they would add. However, I loved Philip’s complex emotions, how he had to deal with his actions, his relationship with Esther, and the impact of the Nazis.

The only downside is that you can’t read this as a standalone. There are numerous references to the previous book, and I suggest you read the series in order.

Apart from that, I enjoyed this book a lot, and I hope the author writes another sequel to revisit these characters, perhaps now on Johnny!
