Don’t Trust Her Review:

In “Don’t Trust Her,” the author delves into nostalgia, loss, and the enduring impact of a traumatic event on the characters’ lives.

One character I particularly admired was Eden. The author skillfully captures the intricate web of emotions and uncertainties that come with youth, such as love, heartbreak, and the anxiety of missed opportunities—some of my favorite moments revolved around Eden’s connection with Brianna and Maverick, not to mention an unexpected kiss that stirred things up.

Similarly, Dylan’s contribution to the story was noteworthy as well. His internal struggle added depth to the narrative, underscoring the difficulties of moving forward while carrying the weight of the past. On a side note, I found Julian’s character quite intriguing, as he added a specific eerie element to the storyline.

Regarding Parker, the author adeptly sustains the tension and lingering questions in the plot, highlighting the strained relationship between Eden and Dylan. It also portrays Parker’s internal conflict as she balances her curiosity about the murder with her desire to protect her family and maintain a semblance of normalcy.

Furthermore, the story’s structure alternates between the past and the present, offering various characters’ perspectives, which adds an exciting layer to the narrative. As the story unfolds, unexpected twists keep you engaged, leaving you wondering about the next turn of events.

The climax was somewhat predictable, as you could anticipate the unfolding events about halfway through the story. It would have been a pleasant surprise if the author had introduced a twist in the end, as I typically anticipate.

Nonetheless, “Don’t Trust Her” is a slowly unfolding psychological thriller that keeps you guessing how far some characters are willing to go to safeguard their secrets, and it provides an enjoyable reading experience.
