Sun, sea and… murder in Fuerteventura!
Boring. Going nowhere. That was Tarah’s life in the UK, before she moved to Fuerteventura to start a new adventure. But things came unstuck quicker than she’d planned. A dead guest on the holiday complex she manages threatens to pull apart her hoped-for dream life.
If she wants to keep her job and save the reputation of the business, she’s got to find out what happened to Patrick. But, did he die of natural causes – or was it a murder?
Tarah’s pet guinea pig, Mr Bob, has a knack for sniffing out trouble and he suspects foul play. The mission is on: Who Killed Patrick?
With the assistance of Mr Bob and Diego, a local plumber, Tarah turns amateur sleuth to find out the truth.
Can Tarah and Mr Bob find the murderer before it’s too late? Will they be able to save the business and protect their blissful new life?
Author Bio – :
Most people know crazy cat ladies are a ‘thing’, but I’m a proud crazy guinea pig lady! I love fun in the sun and plenty of cocktails. My happy place is flip flops. Also, I write stories to keep me company – my characters ensure I’m never lonely and always smiling (when I’m not tearing my hair out!)
Who Killed Patrick? Review:
I loved everything about this story, with its cozy mystery, quirky characters, hilarious dialogue, and an adorable guinea pig!
This book is the perfect example of how a cozy mystery should be. The author did a wonderful job in narrating it. Firstly, Tarah is wonderful as the main character. I just loved her sense of humor, and the hilarious ways she describes the situation. I laughed so much while reading this. To be honest, her dialogues are one of the main reasons why this book stands out.
Moreover, the author also writes the mystery in a gripping manner. There are quite a lot of suspects, many who are guests of the complex. I enjoyed guessing who had the motives to kill Patrick and what transpired. Also, the story takes place in the idyllic island which sounds like paradise. I would love to stop by this fictional place if I ever took a vacation.
Furthermore, I loved the supporting characters like Miriam and Jorge. The Game Night sounds like a fabulous idea and make the scenes stand out. At the same time, let’s not forget cute Mr. Bob! He was the other highlight of the story. It was genius how the author made a guinea pig as one of the main characters that helps solve a mystery!
I hope that this is the beginning of a series because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I want more of Tarah and Mr. Bob! Overall, this was a fantastic, light-hearted mystery, and I LOVED it!
