‘A gritty powerful story. A must read for fans of gangland crime.’
Kerry Kaya, Author

Annette Lambrianu is young, blonde, beautiful and bored. Life on the family vineyard with her husband and young son, Antonias, was disappointing. Yearning for excitement, she flees to London with her lover and the boy, only to find out the nobody paved the streets with gold.

Ever since his mother takes him away from home in the middle of the night, fighting for survival is all Antonias Lambrianu has ever known. He soon learns that money is power and sets his sights on what he sees as a better future. When his past finally catches up with him, it unexpectedly opens up new opportunities, but new threats come hand-in-hand with them.

Antonias is determined that he will emerge triumphant, but there’s jeopardy everywhere and the stakes are high. Everyone, it seems, is playing dangerous games … Antonias most of all.

This is a tale of selfishness, cruelty, love and betrayal. But who will be the ultimate winner?

Dangerous Games is the origin story of gangster Tony Lambrianu. Book two in the series, Nasty Business, will be published in July 2019, and Francesca – available now – covers the next stage of his journey.

Dangerous Games Review:

I did not expect this book to be so entertaining. It was exciting to read about the life the Tony and Jake lead.

The story-line is just amazing in this book. The author dives right into the action and we see how the main character grows up in a life of intrigue and crime. There’s action, romance, intrigue, crime, betrayal and much more set against the backdrop of Italy and London. Even though I didn’t condone to what Tony and Jake did, I really liked their determination into paving their way for the life they wanted.

Tony was my favorite character. I glued to his character and loved everything about his story-line. Moreover, my heart went out to Tony in the beginning of the book living on the streets. At the same time, I really liked Elle and Sharon, and thought they complimented Tony and Jake beautifully. Similarly, I also liked the side characters like Bennie, Don Carlos, Eddie and Miriam.

My only minor criticism on the story were a few inconsistencies. For instance, the author refers to Tony as ‘Antonias’ or ‘Antony’ in some place. It would have been nice if the author used the same name. Also, I felt the dialogues were a bit too lengthy and slowed down the excitement of the scene. Moreover (and this is a small issue) but I thought the cover of the book misled the reader. It would have been nice to show Tony and Jake in some form in the cover.

However, apart from that, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next two books in the series. Overall, this is the first ‘gangland’ story I read and I enjoyed it a lot!
