A gift of warmth to heal two hearts.

For instance, in Pine Hill, Kentucky, Sarah Smith has had heartbroken in the past. As such, She keeps herself busy at church and making a quilt for a wounded warrior.

Bodie Lewis is also lost. All he wanted was his career as an Army Ranger, but he was injured in an explosion that killed his brothers in arms. While in the hospital, he receives a handmade quilt. Later, he sets out on his final mission to find and thank its maker.

In fact, Bodie expected Sarah to be an elderly lady, not a lovely young woman. She also mistakes him for a handyman. However, he doesn’t immediately tell her the truth. Instead, he starts repairing the home, which she’s turning into bed and breakfast. Obviously, Sarah’s presence and the small town’s spirit bring Bodie the hopes he thought he’d left far behind on the battlefield.

This heartwarming sweet romance includes a free quilt pattern from the Quilts of Valor Foundation and a new original Hallmark recipe for Cinnamon Swirl Bread.

Wrapped Up in Christmas Review:

“Wrapped Up In Christmas” was a sweet and charming Christmas story and was like watching a Hallmark Holiday movie.

The main thing I loved about the story is how wonderfully the author brought forward the Christmas spirit. The author throws so many ideas for the festival, like the snowflakes, sleigh rides, candy canes, and much more. Reading about these made me fall in love with the holiday and put me right in the Christmas mood. I also love the idea of the Christmas Ornament Hunt and the Present Pick.

Moreover, The author wrote the characters beautifully. I loved Sarah and Bodie as a couple. The story is simple but stands out nicely because of these two. The chemistry between them is sweet, and the special moments they share will warm your heart. I loved the scenes where they go to Harvey Farms and get caught by Sarah’s friends. Other memorable scenes include them decorating the tree and participating in the festivities on Festival Day. Even the supporting characters like Maybelle, Rosie, Ruby, Claudia, and Lukas add nicely to the plot.

However, I did not give it five stars because the story felt lengthy at times. While I did not have any problem with this, at times, I wished there was something (or someone) to spice up the story. Even after finishing the book, I didn’t feel like Bodie’s justifications for keeping his past a secret from Sarah was necessary.

Apart from that, this was a beautiful Christmas Story and wonderful to read for the Holiday season.  I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
