The Haunting of Gallagher Hotel Review:

I love reading a good Haunted House story, and the Haunting of Gallagher Hotel turned out to be a compelling haunted hotel story! It was like watching “The Haunting of Hill House” meets “The Shining“.

The author makes the story twisted, creepy, and even gory at times. At times, I had no idea what was around the corner. At first, the plot seems mild as the author takes time to introduce the characters. However, the story picked up once Riley starts to see the ghosts in the Hotel. The author then introduces us to the bigger cast of the Hotel. Natalie, Dan, Dr. Myles, and Brenda add nicely to the storyline,

I also liked the level of details the author put into the story. It was interesting to see how the past mistakes come to haunt the guests of the Hotel. One particular moment was when they saw the young girl lying in the Hotel, and Dan remembers his past’s horrors. I also found the scene with Pruitt, Dr. Myles, and Chris shocking, as they remember Myles’s past.

Similarly, I also liked the Hotel’s history and how Trudy and Ulysses started using it for the wrong reasons. A lot was going on in the story that made it a thrilling read.

However, there were a few questions that I felt we did not get answers to them. For instance, why did some of these people get invitations in the first place? Moreover, on a minor note, I was upset at how the author wrote off one of the characters, who became my favorite.

But, apart from that, this was a very chilling and entertaining book to read. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
