First Flyght Review:
Firstly, I loved how the author set up the plot in this book. As this book is the first in the series, the author mainly focused on setting up the future books’ elements. Moreover, the author does a lovely job of incorporating science fiction with romance to make this story stand out.
The characters are also dynamic in the story. Vivian is a strong character, and I thought she held the novel very nicely. The author glued me to the story because I wanted to know what Vivian would do when her life tears down around her. You see different sides of her emotion as she tries to get things on track, even if it means dealing with her ex again. I also liked the supporting characters like Skylar and AI and thought it made the story entertaining.
Similarly, the author does a great job in world-building. Moreover, she has a lovely and straightforward style of writing that allures you into the plot. I also liked the concept of reverse Harem.
However, there were some areas where I felt that Vivian was too hard on herself. While I could understand why she reacted to the situations, I thought she was too hard on herself and made the story depressing with her whining. Moreover, I felt like we did not get enough of Ken and Vivian’s romance, as I would have liked to read more of them. Also, I thought the ending felt a bit rushed and would have liked to see more scenes with Ken and Vivian.
Apart from that, this book was very entertaining. Overall, “First Flyght” was a fun start to the series, and I look forward to seeing how it continues.
