Don’t miss the new laugh-out-loud rom com from the author of One Week ’Til Christmas! Perfect for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Rosie Walsh and Josie Silver.
In the space of a week, Katharine Patterson has quit her job and decided to move back home. She also broke up with the guy she thought was the one.
No big deal.
Because Katharine has a plan. She’s going to open her own art gallery, just to her liking. What she’s not going to do is worry about boyfriends.
Then she meets Kit, a handsome and talented local artist. He might be the most stubborn person Katharine has ever met. He might also make her feel like no one ever has before.
And Katharine might be about to fall accidentally in love…
About the Author:
Author and sometimes foodie, Belinda is a ridiculous romantic who met her husband through a friend two states away.
Residing in country Victoria, surrounded by books, cat-fur, and half-eaten cake, Belinda divides her days between writing rom-coms, baking, and indulging her love of comic books.
Accidentally in Love Review:
This was a fun, realistic, contemporary romance that made me love the characters and want to visit an art gallery.
In any contemporary romance novel, the key ingredient is the chemistry between the two characters. Kate and Kit share an amazing chemistry! Moreover, the surprising part is, when they first appear together, I did not even see them as a couple. Kit came off as pompous and conceited, and I didn’t even see the connection between him and Kate. This was a welcome change from the usual cliches you read in a romance novel. But as the story progresses, you see how nice they are together and how they work things out.
Similarly, I also loved the prominence of the supporting cast. The author doesn’t focus only on the relationship, but also spends ample time to put the supporting characters in the spotlight, which is wonderful! She did such a wonderful job with Kate’s family. I loved Adam and thought he was a perfect brother. Adam and Kate’s father, and Fiona are Kate’s cheerleaders and I enjoyed their dynamic and uplifting nature. Moreover, the author writes the character in such a realistic manner where you immediately connect to them. Kate is wonderful as the lead and I liked her quirky personality. It was a fun ride witnessing her road to starting her own gallery. Even John was interesting
Probably the only thing which I thought to be better was the pacing. I loved everything about the story but personally felt the author over-described many scenes. At times, the pacing seemed to slow down due to the same. Moreover, once I adjusted with pacing, it unexpectedly speeds towards the climax.
Otherwise, “Accidentally in Love” is just adorable, and I really enjoyed it!
