Welcome to Blackhaven, October 31st, 1984…
It’s the era of drive-ins, home computers, board games and, of course, the video nasty.
In this small, sleepy town, cut off from the hardships and the horrors of the modern world, the people have enjoyed a fruitful, peaceful history for all of the 300 years since its founding.
That’s all about to change… Something is coming. But Something unspeakable. And Something evil.
300 years ago to the day, the founders of Blackhaven made a deal with an outside force in order to secure their comfort and safety.
A deal that now, centuries later – as the innocent townsfolk celebrate Allhallow’s Eve with slasher screenings, trick or treating and fire-lit woodland parties – finally requires payment. A deal that will see the streets run red, and the fires rise. The people of Blackhaven are about to learn the true cost of sacrifice, and the true meaning of the witching season.
Hell is coming to claim what’s owed. And the Devil will have his day….
WARNING – Contains disturbing imagery, graphic violence and scenes of a sexual nature.

Blackhaven Review:
Let me tell you – This book was just excellent! Growing up, the epic novels that Stephen King wrote surrounding Castle Rock got me into this genre. “Blackhaven” made me reminisce about those books because the author wrote them wonderfully! Once you start reading this book, you cannot put it down!
Firstly, I loved how the author wrote the story, featuring multiple characters. I loved Emma, Mike, and Toby! What’s lovely about the book is how your perception of the characters changes throughout the story. In the beginning, you find them to be average. But as the story progressed, I thought they were larger than life in some of the scenes. Mike’s love for his family, and Emma’s strength over the events, made the story memorable.
Similarly, I adored Candace, but my emotions about her changed towards the end. But, there were characters like Sid and Alan who I despised throughout. It’s been a while since I got so personally invested with the characters, and this book made me close it a few times and not open it because of how it shocked me.
The author also writes the plot with the perfect atmosphere. I thought I was watching a classic horror movie like “Halloween” as I read the tale. Considering that I read this book one day before Halloween, I thought it set me in the mood for a holiday. The Collectors creeped me out, and the book is action-packed throughout the second half. Right from the beginning, you know that this book would be epic when you read about the creepy sacrifice that takes place.
Overall, I hope there is a sequel. I want to read all the books by this author and need more!
