Bruce Campbell is a heart surgeon. His only son, Tim, was born with a degenerative heart condition. They knew that one day he would need a new heart, what they didn’t know, was when.

Bruce’s world is about to come crashing down on him; despite being one of the leading cardiologists in the country, will Bruce be able to save his son?
And to what lengths will he go to do it?

Whilst Bruce is battling to save his son, a psychopathic killer is on the loose, hell-bent on gaining revenge on those that hurt and tortured him as a child, casting him into a life of darkness.

With nothing left to lose, Aiden will stop at nothing to kill those that hurt him.

Dead Man’s Heart Review:

“Dead Man’s Heart” is a terrific suspense horror I devoured because it had everything I loved about the genre.

Firstly, I loved how the author had specific storylines for our core characters. Whether it be Bruce, Christie, Tim, or even Aiden, the author grabbed my attention with each of their storylines. Each of them (except maybe Tim) had secrets that could ruin their lives if they came out.

While Bruce may be the show’s star, I gravitated more toward Christie and Tim because of how they dealt with their problems. While Christie’s issue feels less critical to others, I was terrified when James came into the picture. I felt sorry for her because, on top of everything she had to deal with Tim and Bruce, she also had to face the horrors of James. Similarly, Tim was also my favorite, and I was rooting for him, even if people were against him.

On the other hand, Aiden is a twisted villain who never had luck. While some of my felt sorry for how hard an upbringing he had, I was terrified of what horror he would unleash as he targeted his next victim. The author added the perfect blend of fear and dread to this character for his actions, and the pages glued me to wondering how he would attack his next target.

The pacing is slow for my taste, but I still enjoyed the direction in which the author took the tale. Bruce was good in the lead too, and the author portrayed his fears of his past coming to haunt him nicely. I kept guessing that all the storylines would collide, and the author did not disappoint.

Overall, “Dead Man’s Heart” is a gripping tale I thoroughly enjoyed!
