The transformation of this young girl, Emma as she grew from a very shy young woman into a woman who took risks and ultimately found herself and love. I will say that I did not expect the twist at the end, so that was a bit of a surprise. The character has a lot of challenges throughout the book, so it did strike some emotional cords as a result. Overall the character development was excellent. All in all, I couldn’t put the book down and I would highly recommend it for an enjoyable read. Good job Astrid Diek.
