As Zoe unpicks the details, she suspects the informant didn’t tell her the whole story. With time running out, her team chase a promising lead only to have it wrenched from their grasp. Either the bombers were incredibly lucky, or they received a tip-off.
One of her team infiltrates the bombers. She discovers the attack has started, and her colleague Gavin Shawlens is missing, presumed killed by the terrorists.
While searching for Gavin, a massive disaster unfolds. Can Zoe stop loss of life in a small community and prevent the collapse of a key pillar of society?

Extreme Prejudice Review:
Let me preface by saying that I have not read any of the previous books in the series. Considering that this book is the ninth novel in the “Lambeth Group” series, you might think that story might not be fresh. However, the author packs the story with many thrills that its hard to put the book down once you start.
The author plots the story wonderfully, where you get a sense of the political threats and terrorist groups that the team encounters. As you begin the story, you immediately feel a sense of mystery about Jamie Cartwright and how the story would progress. I enjoyed the core characters in the tale, like Rebel, Zoe, Holly, and Gavin. Moreover, the author surprises you by suddenly putting a core character’s life in danger, and you wonder how they could come out of the situation. Also, the author adds elements of romance and humor, and I liked the chemistry between Gavin and Holly. Some thrilling moments that made the story memorable were when the security man chases Gavin or Keith. The storyline with Kacey and Jeff also had me at the edge of my seat.
However, the only criticism of the tale is that it took time for me to get in tune with all the characters. The story has a massive cast of characters, and it took time for me to find out who they all were. Also, I felt the author added some unnecessary characters for specific moments, like Prof Stanzer.
Apart from that, I enjoyed reading “Extreme Prejudice” and got myself the first book to find out how it started!
