Tess Parker knows tragedy better than most.

No matter what the cost.

About the Author:

If She Lives Review:

I have enjoyed the series from the beginning because the characters encounter new dilemmas that keep the story fresh while the larger story arc remains the same. In “If She Lives,” the author once again takes us to Tess’s life, where she has to figure out who is threatening her life.

While Tess sometimes gets on my nerves, the author realistically portrays her paranoia towards the circumstances. She constantly questions everyone and wonders if their feelings toward her are genuine. Some scenes that stood out for me were when Tess meets Amy or goes on the car journey with Willow. Also, I liked the relationship between Tess and Josh. The two share a long history, and seeing their ups and downs was fun. I was rooting for them to get back together more than friends and enjoyed how the author wrote their story.

Moreover, I also liked how the author paced the story, where it starts off slow but quickly sped up, where something new happens to Tess in each chapter. The author takes the story to a gripping yet satisfying climax, where you feel a good closure, particularly if you have read the series since the beginning.

Overall, “If She Lives” is an excellent continuation of the Harlow Book series, and I cannot wait to read more of the author.
