One Fatal Night Review:

What starts off as a tale of revenge, soon turns into a tale of survival. One Fatal Night turned out to be an exciting thriller that I enjoyed reading.

Although this book is short and quick, it does not lack excitement. The author did a very nice job in keeping the pace fast. Also, there are quite a few twists and turns and new characters introduced that add well to the plot. There is not much suspense as we know who the murderer is midway. However, it is very thrilling to see how the characters track down the culprits and learn the motives behind their crimes. Moreover, the author did a very nice job in keeping the plot on point and not digressing from the story.

Also, I really liked Astrid and Daniel in the lead. While I did not really care for them as a couple, I thought they made a very good team to solve the mystery. Joel is also a complex character who stands out. The villains are unpredictable and you really know how they would react.

However, my only criticism to the story was how convoluted it got in the middle. After a certain point, you feel like all the characters are related to one another. This was confusing and felt a bit incestuous at times. Hence, I had to backtrack at certain areas to recall how one person knew the other.

Apart from that “One Fatal Night” is a gripping and entertaining read. If you are in the mood for a short, fast-paced, crime thriller, you should read this!
