Portia has known heartbreak before, but thought she’d found her happy-ever-after with Charlie…
Just when their dreams appear to crumble beneath them Portia and Charlie discover the warmth of the Boardwalk community. And the best friends anyone could ever ask for.

Snow Angels at Golden Sands Bay Review:
The heart of the narrative shines through in the captivating chemistry shared between Portia and Charlie. Initially, Portia’s growing concern for Charlie’s happiness and determined efforts to reignite their love through a thoughtful surprise set the stage. As the tale unfolds, the dynamics shift, and we witness Charlie’s genuine concern for Portia.
Also, the challenges they encountered during the chateau’s renovation and the potential they saw within it to be equally engaging. The author masterfully captures Charlie and Portia’s emotions as they navigate the hurdles of launching their business. Moreover, Portia and her friends’ unwavering support for each other and their commitment to assisting those in need underscore the narrative’s heart.
There were also tense moments, such as Rory’s entrance into the narrative, that shed light on Charlie’s insecurities and fears, exposing the challenges they face regarding communication and trust. Among the many memorable instances, the creation of snow angels during Christmas time and Betty’s enlightening explanation of the chateau’s history stand out. The inclusion of Bella’s storyline, as well as the steadfast friendship shared between Lexi, Oliver, Charlie, and Portia, enriches the narrative. Similarly, the presence of Remi and Megan adds a delightful touch that enhances the overall experience.
However, the narrative’s pace does experience a lull in the middle. Across a few chapters, the story only revolved around the characters discussing their renovation obstacles without significant plot advancement. While the camaraderie among the characters is evident as they rally together to support each other and the community, the plot progression appears to stall. Yet, the climax rushes suddenly with unexpected revelations and heightened drama, though it could have been distributed more evenly throughout the narrative for a more balanced pacing.
Nevertheless, “Snow Angels at Golden Sands Bay” is a lovely addition to the series.
