Alex Knight, the world’s foremost authority on bigfoot research, heads to Canada to investigate a profoundly credible bigfoot encounter. Further, his daughter Sidney eagerly joins the expedition. It was also accompanied by reluctant Toronto television hostess, Ameerah Ali, Sid, and her father’s team adventure north to pursue the legendary sasquatch.
Another key point, Prophecy from a forgotten Algonquin tribe and a mystical calling deeply connect Sidney to the creature. By the same token, the revelation of unknown truths ensures that Sid will never see the forest, or herself, the same again.
In short, Spirit of the Woods is a story that leads you on a Bigfoot adventure. The lessons Alex, Sidney,, and their little group, are taught along the way are beyond anything they could imagine.

Spirit Of The Woods Review:
At times, you come across a story that is simple yet meaningful and realistic yet magical. “Spirit of the Woods” is one such story.
The main thing which I took away from this story is the theme. As the author mentions, we need to do more for nature. When we see a post about an environment-friendly effort, we like and comment and root for the cause. However, this is not enough. We need to put more effort and give back to the environment for taking so much. We need to put ourselves out there and be active physically.
Secondly, the author tells the story in a fairytale-like and straightforward manner. It is short, straight to the point, but lets you connect with the characters. More than Sidney, I found Ameerah fascinating. She is a complex character, and initially, you don’t know if she has an ulterior motive for going with Alex and the crew. Moreover, I loved her connection with Sidney. Similarly, Sidney is also charismatic in her role. The author takes the story in a compelling manner where you start to wonder if the legends could be true or not.
However, while I loved the story, there were a few minor parts that were left open-ended. For instance, why was Sidney the chosen one? Was there a reason for the events that transpired to take place now? Also, I felt like Kwame hardly had any storyline and was unnecessary to the tale.
Apart from that, I loved this story! I consider it one of the unique books I read this year. I voluntarily reviewed a gushing copy of this book, which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
