Hold on to the feeling of sunshine at the seaside with this gorgeous romance, perfect for fans of Holly Martin and Jo Thomas.

Sacha Collins, cafe owner and sundae-maker extraordinaire, meets Italian archaeologist, Alessandro Salvatore in Rome. She’s grateful to him for being her tour guide. Now he’s come to the seaside village where she lives. He is setting up a gelateria in direct competition to her retro Summer Sundaes Café.

She’s only been running her café for two years since taking over from her father. Until now the only other shops on the boardwalk have been a wool shop, an antique shop and a second-hand book shop. These have helped rather than hindered her custom. How will her creative sundaes made from fresh Jersey ice cream compete with his delicious Italian gelato?

Sacha worries about the competition. Is there enough customer for both businesses to thrive? And Who is behind the strange changes on the boardwalk? Besides, the oldest resident on the boardwalk gets an eviction threat. Can Sacha and Alessandro come together and find a way of helping her?

For a peaceful little boardwalk overlooking one of the quieter beaches on the island, there’s an awful lot going on and some of it is going to lead to big changes.

Summer Sundaes at Golden Sands Bay Review:

I was captivated by the author’s storytelling style right from the start. The author skillfully maintains a lighthearted and captivating tone while seamlessly weaving in emotions and plot twists. The narrative beautifully encapsulates the essence of community, friendship, and love that binds the characters together. Their unwavering support for each other and their determination to face challenges truly showcase their strength and resilience. The gradual development of romance between Sacha and Alessandro adds depth and emotion to the story, unfolding as they navigate their feelings amidst the chaos of their lives.

Speaking of which, I found the chemistry between Sasha and Alessandro particularly engaging. The author expertly delves into Sacha’s internal conflict as she navigates her emotions while maintaining a façade of casual friendship. Memorable moments, where they share gelato or Alessandro’s guided tour of Rome, painted vivid pictures in my mind and sparked a desire to experience those settings myself.

What further makes the narrative relatable is the inclusion of Sacha’s family dynamics, the intrigue surrounding Mr. Salvatore, the excitement building up for the fête, and even the unexpected appearance of George Newton. The idyllic beach setting serves as a picturesque backdrop for their conversations, mirroring the ebbs and flows of their evolving relationship. The supporting characters, including Jack, Lucy, Bella, and Betty, offer tantalizing glimpses into the potential future installments of the series, which I’m eagerly looking forward to exploring.

Additionally, the enigmatic symbols and changes in the village introduce an element of mystery and curiosity, leaving readers pondering the motives behind these intriguing alterations.

In conclusion, “Summer Sundaes at Golden Sands Bay” was a delightful read, a charming introduction to “The Boardwalk by the Sea” series.
