Slip on your sunglasses, Spring has sprung on the Boardwalk!
When artist Jools Jones’, new man Finn Gallichan, leaves the Boardwalk to go travelling for several months she has no worries.
Besides, she has her paintings to keep her busy and helps her grandmother run their second-hand bookshop, Boardwalk Books.
She’s happy to wait for Finn’s return, to pick up where they left off, as absence makes the heart grow fonder – right?
She’s soon starts helping Alan Hidrio trace a copy of a book he wrote years before. And she meets glass artist Marius Arnesen, who has a fascination for her paintings. He offers her a place in an art exhibition.
When she begins to suspect that Finn isn’t quite the person she had hoped and Marius steps up to save someone close to her, she wonders if maybe she’s made the wrong decision…
Can Jools rely on her instincts? Or should she risk the chance of a future with Marius?

Sunny Days at Golden Sands Bay Review:
One of the aspects I genuinely appreciate about this series is the author’s skill in delicately delving into the character’s emotions. The diverse range of situations that the characters encounter keeps the narrative engaging and distinct from one another. Particularly captivating to me was the portrayal of Jools in the story, her romantic entanglements with Marius, and the intriguing drama involving Finn. The depth of their conversations enriches their bond, allowing them to cherish their moments together despite navigating their personal histories and emotions.
Moreover, this book distinctly emphasizes a strong sense of community compared to its predecessors. For instance, the chapter featuring the Easter Egg Hunt beautifully captures the intricate web of relationships, traditions, and emotions within the community. Throughout the narrative, there’s an infusion of nostalgia, warmth, and a hint of romantic intrigue. Similarly, the “Liberation Day” celebration serves as a backdrop that accentuates the personal dynamics, illustrating how history can shape individual choices and relationships.
Furthermore, I loved how the author masterfully interweaves characters from previous books into the narrative, giving them prominence in their respective storylines. We witness the return of Portia and Charlie, eagerly anticipate Claire and Tony’s wedding, and delve into Bella’s inner conflict. Jools’ grandmother plays a charming role in nudging Jool’s romance forward, and even the canine companions Teddy and Jarvis add their layer of endearment.
Memorable moments were the characters’ genuine concern for those caught in the storm or the dramatic incident that unfolds during the book group meeting. Even seemingly minor moments, like the process of glassblowing, contribute to the overall captivating experience.
In its entirety, “Sunny Days at Golden Sands Bay” is an enchanting addition to the series that seamlessly continues to charm its readers.
