The Last Thing She Said Review:
What’s lovely about the “Chris Matheson Cold Case” series, in general, is how the author makes the plot fresh in each book. Having read this from the beginning, I enjoyed how the author focuses on a different aspect of Chris’s life in each book. In this story, Chris and the Geezer Squad focus on another cold case from 40 years ago involving Cnris’s friend Shannon.
As usual, I loved the Geezer Squad and how they were not afraid to get their hands dirty in solving the case. The author beautifully blends romance, action, thriller, suspense, and surprising twists and twists with multiple subplots that keep you guessing what is happening. I also loved the arc with Mercedes Livingston and was intrigued about what happened with the storyline. Chris is excellent in the lead as consistently as he has a childlike innocence, yet you see his macho side take focus when his friends and family are in danger.
Moreover, I love how Sterling gets more prominent in each book. I adore Sterling and can’t get enough of him. I hope the author continues to write many more books in the series because reading is so much fun.
Overall, “The Last Thing She Said” is a lovely addition to the series, and I cannot wait for the next adventure.
