Published in early 2019, the book’s message bears repeating: peace is meant for all of us. And it is everyone’s responsibility to care for each other like the united family that we really are.

This exceptional and timely book shares the reality that we are all sharing this world that we call home. We should not act as though each continent, each, country, and each neighborhood is like a completely different planet. In fact, within the pages of This is the Earth, readers will discover thought and conversation-invoking concepts on issues and struggles that has our world at odds with each other. This Is The Earth Review:

I loved this book so much. It’s honestly a book I feel adults should read, more than children.

Firstly, the author did a fantastic job with the story, and I loved its theme. It shows how we all are in this world for a limited time, and we have to adjust and compromise with each other to come to an understanding and middle ground. Each of us is unique, and we will have our own goals and aspirations. However, that doesn’t mean we need to bring someone else down in the process.

Moreover, the author and illustration did an excellent job in creating this book. Each page has colorful illustrations, and the author poetically narrates the story. Some of the pictures that stood out were when the kids save a trapped bird or the whimsical one when they ride birds and caterpillars. Similarly, the author also includes a section for discussion questions in the end that makes you think. I loved the inspirational quotations from famous people like Mother Teresa and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. about peace and tranquility.

Furthermore, while the book targets children as prime readers, I feel adults could take some value from it. As we get older, we get bogged down by peer pressure and do things that we are not proud of doing. Hence, reading such beautiful stories inspire us to try and improve ourselves and work towards a brighter future.

Overall, this is a beautiful children’s book, and I loved reading. I hope the author continues to publish many such books that inspire others to be better.
