Twin Tales: Alike and Different Review:

“Twin Tales: Alike and Different” is an adorable children’s picture about twins, written by twins.

This is a great picture book to show your kids, whether they are twins or not. It gives a nice message about how everyone is unique and has a distinctive personality, even if they look alike.

Alexia and Denise are identical twins that people usually get confused about because they look alike. However, while both like to enjoy and have fun with their grandparents, they have striking contrast in their interests. Alexia is the more adventurous, risk-taking girl, whereas Denise is the cautious and clean one. Both of them light up the pages with their antics and activities. Reading this book made me curious if the authors also resemble the characters in real life. The tale feels personal like they drew on their own experiences and made the story entertaining.

Moreover, the illustrations by Folksnfables are beautiful. The images are simple but so cute and creative that they will immediately capture the attention of the young one. The colors are also easy on the eyes and bring out the characters in the pages. I particularly loved the drawings when they are both having tea or visiting their grandparents.

Frankly, I hope the authors turn this into a book series because Alexia and Denise are charming, and I can picture them in many different adventures and situations. I would also like to see them interact with other friends and family members. Overall, “Twin Tales: Alike and Different” is a beautiful picture book to read to small children.
